Synopsis
Buddhist Monks, a shark, a lesbian wedding and a quest for peace and happiness that follows four people through garage sales and dumps, recovery groups and aquariums.
Swimming in the Shallows by Adam Bock is a quirky, quick-witted, comedy that dives deep to reveal the problems and anxieties that underlie modern relationships, be they man-woman, woman-woman or man-shark.
This smart, entertaining, critically acclaimed play is a night of romance you won’t soon forget.
"A screwy little jewel of a play ... It's as unconventional a conventional look at love as you'll find." --Neil Genzlinger, The New York Times
"Bock tells his fairy tale in a surreal idiom that shows wit and imagination... (he) focuses on cute characters caught up in winsome gay love stories deriving considerable charm from their oddball humor." --Marilyn Stasio, Variety
