MLO-XX “Garage” – the 20th Anniversary of Mr. Leather Ottawa
November 9-11, 2012
MLO is a ”be yourself” event, open to everyone, fostering community development and promoting education on the leather and kink communities as well as healthy sexuality. The Mr. Leather festivities start on Friday, Nov. 9 for “Meet the Meat”; includes the Formal Dinner and Competition on Saturday; and concludes with the “Survivors’ Brunch” on Sunday, Nov. 11.
On Saturday, November 10th, our seminar and workshop program will feature speakers from all aspects of the leather and kink community. Seminars will be held at “La Petite Mort Gallery” www.lapetitemortgallery.com just a half block from our main venue, Saint Brigid’s Centre for the Arts. A Vendor and Community fair will give attendees the opportunity to purchase products that they may not have seen before and ask questions to the merchants present. This year our vendors are Wears and Ware Ventures Inc. / KinkStore.ca, Miss V. Leather Artisan, Venus Envy, Scotties Spot, Ess-in-Chains and Liz’s Erotic Books Our Community groups include Bruce House and Gay Zone. As always there is also our popular used gear swap.
The MLO competition and stage show is presented by the Ottawa Knights and Dog & Pony Sound, and is followed by an after party featuring DJ Jungle Jen. This is a great chance to meet leather VIPs from across North America, to be introduced to our community, to learn and to party. VIP (Weekend) package holders will share priority seating with, Former MLO Titleholders, Seminar presenters and Sponsors.
Ottawa’s first Bootblack Competition will be something to behold. Here’s a chance to have you favourite boots shined by our expert bootblacks. There will also be another first this year at MLO–XX. We will have a puppy Play play-pen, so all you puppies, handlers and puppy lovers will be treated to a spectacular fun event all weekend.
