True Heart, a chapter in honor of all GLBT students worldwide, from the Peace Out Project by Susan Haid.
THE PEACE OUT PROJECT is a creativity-based, kid-friendly program that builds peaceful relationships by teaching self-love, self-worth, compassion, acceptance and creative expression. The Peace Out Projectâ„¢ (POP) is designed not only to inspire but to create the platform for conflict resolution and positive change for kids, parents, caregivers, teachers, schools, communities and beyond.
Right now, kids feel completely alone, handling the issue of bullying the best way they know how, with little understanding, few tools, and little support. We want kids to know that they are not alone, and that It's Up 2 Us to solve these issues hand-in-hand. In response to this destructive social issue, we have designed a dynamic awareness program called The Peace Out Projectâ„¢. We provide kids with the opportunity to channel their energies in powerful creative directions, thereby opening the door to hope, self-reliance, meaning and change. We provide tools & support in many different areas to transform conflict into opportunity and focus a young person's energy in a positive direction. Most of all, we foster the growth of self-love, the cure for bullying & abuse, inside and outside of the classroom.
