Tone Cluster donates its time to helping the groups that support Ottawa's gay community: the choir has sung at events hosted by Pink Triangle Services, Egale and for organizations concerned with HIV/AIDS. The choir has marched as a group in support of Bruce House and of equal marriage in Canada. Tone Cluster's concerts continue to attract a wide audience that enjoys the group's eclectic repertoire: everything from madrigals to Manhattan Transfer arrangements. The choir takes pride in showcasing talented performers from Ottawa-Gatineau at its concerts. add to favorites Lesbian Information Xchange - LIX
The Lesbian Information Xchange (LIX) is a community-based, not-for-profit network of lesbians in the Ottawa area who get together for business networking, social, and educational events. The founding 'LIX Chicks' wanted to create a way for lesbians to connect for business purposes...a way that took the best parts of traditional business networking and added a lesbian flair! The response in the Ottawa lesbian community was overwhelming! So these days, in addition to the business component, LIX now includes social and educational events and activities. Members are linked by a beautiful monthly e-newsletter which includes a message from the Steering Committee along with an 'Upcoming Events of Interest' section. Members also receive special email notification of workshops and events that are being organized by members of the LIX network. To join LIX send an email to info@girlswanttoknow.com and tell us Dorothy sent you!
